Terms of Service
Last updated: September 13, 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By downloading, installing, or using StitchCount (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is operated by The Sky Bringup, LLC ("we", "our", or "us").
2. Current service
The App imports a written crochet or knitting pattern that you provide as a PDF or as photos, asks you to confirm whether it uses US or UK terminology, and uses an AI service to split it into sections with anchors back to the place in your original text each section came from. A row counter runs on your device with automatic saving, undo, and restore. The current version does not automatically organize symbol-only charts, does not include an Apple Watch companion, does not sell or distribute patterns, and does not generate video.
3. Credits, Local Pro, and billing
The App is free to download and includes a small number of starter credits. Optional purchases are one-time credit packs that add a fixed number of AI credits, an auto-renewing weekly subscription that includes a set number of AI credits each billing period, and Local Pro, a separate one-time non-consumable purchase that unlocks local features only. Local Pro never adds AI credits, and there is no unlimited or lifetime AI plan. Credits are consumed when you make an AI request, have no cash value, and are not transferable. The price and billing period shown by the App Store before confirmation control your purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The weekly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Refund requests and billing questions are handled by Apple. Apple's Standard EULA also applies.
4. Service limits and availability
AI features require an internet connection and available credits, and may be subject to reasonable per-device limits, provider availability, maintenance, and abuse-prevention controls. Limits may change as the service evolves. Do not attempt to bypass technical, credit, or purchase controls.
5. AI results and user responsibility
AI section organizing may mis-read, mis-split, or mis-label parts of a pattern, especially with unusual formatting, handwriting, or low-quality scans. Always check a section against the anchored original text before you work from it. The designer's pattern, not the organized view, is the authority.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of, or the rights you already hold in, the patterns and project notes you provide. You grant us and our service providers the limited right to process that content only as needed to organize the pattern you imported and to operate, secure, and support the service.
Import only patterns you own or are otherwise authorized to use. Patterns are usually protected by copyright held by their designer or publisher, and the App does not grant you any rights in them.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity
- Submit content you do not have permission to process
- Import, organize, or redistribute a pattern you do not have the right to use
- Attempt to bypass usage, credit, purchase, security, or access controls
- Interfere with the App, API, or third-party services
- Reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it
8. Intellectual property
The App, its design, software, and original materials are owned by The Sky Bringup, LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the App to you.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free AI results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App. Any total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App and related purchases during the applicable claim period.
10. Suspension or termination
We may suspend access to online features when needed to protect the service, comply with law, address abuse, or enforce these terms. You may stop using the App at any time and manage purchases through Apple.
11. Changes
We may update the App or these terms as the service changes. Revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable state law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer law in your location requires otherwise.
