What the app does

Bring in a written crochet or knitting pattern as a PDF or as photos of the pages.
Confirm US or UK terms first
The same abbreviation means different stitches in the two conventions, so you choose which one your pattern uses before anything is organized.
AI sections with source anchors
The pattern is split into workable sections, and each one points back to the place in your original text it came from, so you can always check the designer's wording.
Local row counter
Count rows on your device with automatic saving, undo, and restore, so reopening a project puts you back where you stopped.
Symbol charts stay manual
Symbol-only charts are not organized automatically. You can still import them and use the counter by hand.
iPhone and iPad
StitchCount runs on iPhone and iPad. There is no Apple Watch companion.
What is free, and what you pay for
StitchCount is free to download and starts with a small number of credits so you can organize a real pattern. AI section organizing uses credits, so AI use is always limited to the credits you hold. Credit packs and a weekly subscription that includes a set number of credits each cycle are available in the app. Local Pro is a separate one-time unlock for local features only, and it never adds AI credits. There is no unlimited or lifetime AI plan. The row counter works on patterns you have already imported.
Import only patterns you own or are authorized to use. Designers hold the copyright in their patterns.
